Pan Symeou, together with Catherine Oborne of counsel successfully secured an acquittal of the Defendant following his trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court for possession of a firearm and possession of a knife in a public place. The Defendant was arrested with the co-accused following a police pursuit of a vehicle in which the Defendant was a passenger, and which the co-accused was driving. The police retrieved a knife from the passenger footwell and a hand-gun in a man-bag disposed of by the Defendant. The Defendant succeeded on the the defence that he had no knowledge of what was in the man-bag and that the knife was not in his possession.
